Right, ive had a sony Digital 8 Camera for a while now, ive not shot anything properly with it yet, and i want to start playing...
what I'm asking is, what do i need to edit it?
Ive got a 2ghz PC with 200mhz of Ram, I know for a fact i need a another Hard drive, But what kinda graphics / capture card do i need? Ive got a 32MB NVIDEA card in at the mo but do i need a capture card aswell? if so, which one? and what cable do i need to link it up? do Sony sell them?
Im gonna use Adobe Premier for editing it, and i know where i can get that
So basically i need to know the kit for editing
thanks in advance

Your digi8 cam should have firewire/i.link output. Just get a IEEE1394 card for ya PC (about ?40 from www.scan.co.uk) and your PC will have DV I/O. Your cam might not have DV-in though which leaves you in the dilemma of how to get stuff from PC back out to tape... you could search for 'widgets' which talk to your cam and switch the DV-in back on (it is disabled in EU for tax reasons)
HTH, Good luck!
